Whining noise

My Sharp 65DR650 has started to whine. The lamp is only 8 months old and the fan appears to run ok. Anyone know what the problem may be?

Gerrityj,
Most likely it's your color wheel. Is it a pretty loud noise? Your color wheel spins around in it's bearings fairly quickly and tends to make a lot of noise when it's going out on you. Please provide more information if you can. Thanks.

It is loudest when I first turn it on. Then it seems to quiet some but still makes the noise in the background. How hard is it to change the color wheel? Where can I purchase one?

It's a little tricky to replace the color wheel, but not too bad. You can try discount-merchant.com for a color wheel if not then you'll have to look around.

yup...i can say the problem is with your color wheel.
you check on the internet for the color wheel that you need...in other words...google it
or
you can click to the big 817px × 100px banner on the top that says Discount merchant :F
