New Lamp

Postby Frogbeater » Sun Apr 04, 2010 7:01 pm

My old lamp popped and I received a replacement from Discount Merchant.

The numbers on the lamps don't match, but they seemed to be close enough:

Original: 100w 1.0 K3
Replacement: 100w 1.3 E23

To further confuse the issue, the box that the replacement came in says: 100w 1.0 E23

Assuming that the new globe is comparable, I installed it and the set clicks once and shuts off.

My actual question is, should a properly functioning globe have continuity like a traditional tungsten bulb? The new bulb doesn't...

Thanks for any insight you might have!

The best way to get the right part number for your tv lamp. If you went to Discount-Merchant, I've used their search engine. Just enter the model # of your tv set and if they have it in stock, you'll get a reply with the lamp's part number.
