I have a Vivitel RP56HD21A that the lamp will crack after about 1500 hrs of use. The lensis cracked and the internal glass thing will be shattered. Anyone know why this is happening?

Most times when this occurs the ballast board is sending the wrong voltage to your lamp. Do you hear any unfamiliar noises.

The only noise I hear is a pop and crack when the lamps goes out.

Hello,
the easiest part to replace would be the ballast which is the board that powers up the lamp, I do not think a power supply can be at fault but I would not eliminate it as a possibility...
