I have an idea, but please feel free to educate me more  , I am basing myself on logic :P
The PS3 is a perfect Blu-ray player, my only concern is the lens. When playing regular PS3 games the disc spins and it "reads" the disc for "loading purposes. Then once loaded into the system we play!
When watching a Blu-ray movie the disc spins "reading" continuously during the entire movie, I am concerned for the life span of the lens since I have seen some that need replacing on craigslist...
thank you!
is the PS3 is a good blu-ray disc player???

Hi gray Both gives an output of 1080p but the video chipset in the PS3 for bluray playback is be cheaper than the ones in the higher-priced Standalones, PS3 is cheaper than the player and has better quality, more durability than the player, so i will prefer PS3.
