So, I have a HITACHI 50c20 rear projection 50" dlp set. I have replaced the bulb 2 times in the past. After the last replacement approx. 3 months in the screen dimmed and to the right of center a very bright diamond shape eval appeared. Occasioanally you could see a previous screen burn imprint in the right lower corner. Then last weekend we heard a pop and the picture dissappeared then came back then dissappeared again and we could still hear the television program. We turned tv off and then we shut the tv off and the bulb lamp flashes continously. So I replaced the bulb with a phillips asm. from discountmerchant.com and still same concern. The bulb light flashes all the time. I have consulted discountmerchant.com for assisstance and they turned me here to this forum. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
