LG DLP Bluing

Got a 60" DLP that has bluing on the bottom about 2-3 inches high and goes up on the outer edges. Is that a chip issue?

Hello, brainfry.
Ok from the very few info that you provided it could be 3 possible causes.
My first suggestion would be to inspect the color wheel, see if it has any burns on it, any discoloration also. If you find anything out of the ordinary you’ll need to replace it.
Second thing that could be is the DMD board. Try brining up the tv menu with your remote. See if the blurring also affects the menu, if it douse you’ll need to replace. If not then you can discard it.
Last but not least, the light tunnel has four mirrors. Due to the instance heat generated buy the lamp, a mirror might be collapsing.
To discard all possibilities you can buy a new light engine and kill three birds with one stone.
If you have any more questions feel free to ask.
Good luck.
