TV is 4 years old and we are having problems with it as follows:
. TV goes out randomly, sound is fine
. On/off power not working, must unplug to turn on and off
. When TV is working color is either perfect or ghosting
. HD channels not coming in, cable tech lowered the resolution to 480 from 1080 so the channels will work
. Volume, source and other buttons do not work
We have done the following so far with no change:
. Replaced color wheel 8 months ago
. Replaced Lamp and Balast last week when TV started going out
. Reset Lamp hours
. Check fans, they are working properly
. TV must be powered on approximately 4 times before color wheel comes on
. TV will stay on for hours or starts flashing and goes out within 10 minutes
Could the problem be the color wheel, DMD board or the brand new balast? When TV is working on 480 and not 1080 we get the HD channels.
