Such, I have a hlr4667w wax / xaa and the problem is that it made a buzzing noise and then a broken glass, and the TV goes off. when I turn on the lamp light blinks but the few seconds it goes into standby mode again, and so on. If I change the color wheel this would be solved?? will be broken or something else? the lamp does not start.

Hello!
well the only 2 glass pieces that shatter can be the lamp and colorwheel,

if the lamp blew then the ballast could have buzzed because it arched at the 15 kV it generates for ignition..
if the colorwheel blew then you would have heard a screeching grinding sound, the the wheel could have shattered,

I would inspect the lamp for anything shattered and if its good proceed to inspecting the colorwheel...

Hope this helps!

hi mrgreen, which broke was the color wheel, is broken into 2 panels of color, now my question is, if I take the color wheel, the lamp should turn? I remove the wheel, but still with the same problem when I turn on, the lamp light blinking and 15 seconds later put back on standby, immediately lamp blinks again and so on loop.

No yes because the TV has sensors there has to be a functioning colorwheel installed in order to achieve ignition.. :x

I would suggest buying a colorwheel since you already removed it and replacing it, what is the part number? I can help you find a cheap one they run about less than a hundred bucks, I buy them from www.discount-merchant.com ...
Hope this helps!!!

there is a partlist at samsung here
http://www.samsungparts.com/Products/Pa ... fault.aspx

with that number you can find a cheaper price at D-M.com but you have to figure out what chassis you have L3 or L6 its on the light engine inside your TV...

My color wheel shattered. I replaced it butits the tv still doesn't work.

As soon as I plug in the tv it begins to turn on. It cycles a few times and then stops, 3lights blinking.

Do I have to put the entire tv back together before testing to see if it works?

I Have read about Bad ballasts and dpd boards, how can I tell which has gone bad? My lamp is new, so I feel that is ok.

Thanks for any help

hello, me again, yesterday I got the new color wheel, install it, but turn on the TV, only lamp light blinks, and then shutdown. but how good it could be rekindled as I did before. have an idea that can be? I am in Argentina and I'm using here are 220v transformer 110 with me I'll be running short of power? Thank you.

Hello again toketo!

If you are using a transformer properly there should be no reason to be short on power. I know this must be frustrating but you have to remember these are consumable parts which means one or two can go out at any given time. That initial buzzing sound along with the shattered color wheel can mean maybe the lamp and colorwheel or the ballast and colorwheel went out simultaneously... I would try a new lamp first given this is the most common issue.

sDc, if you never got any distortion on the screen and all it does is shut down given you have anew lamp, even if the set gives you the lamp indicator light, this is almost always a ballast issue, these have to be replaced at least once during a dlp's lifespan.

hope this helps!

hi, will not turn on the TV image, the lamp does not start, if you type the beginning sound of melody, but the light is flashing lamp and then put into shutdown.

hhhmmm, I would insist on you trying a new ballast. if you are sure the lamp is good... if not then try the lamp first, either way it will need replacement soon!

after much searching, I found the service manual, and the problem is in the dmd, not on the ball or the lamp to my dismay, but to disarm the dmd in search of some hope, I see the intergrade ic702 is burned, I look datasheet and that controls the color wheel, so here now to search the ic.!

On DMD board, the IC is a8904slb, here in Argentina is quite difficult to achieve. I have to buy it online. sell it on ebay but do not shipping to Argentina.

such, I return with good notice, I fix my Samsung HLR4667w, fix my DMD with ic mentioning later. Now the question is, as we calibrate the image is larger than the screen. ? and try loosening the 3 screws that DMD but adjust the alignment,
