I am trying to get Samsung Canada to cover the cost of replacing the DMD Chip in my DLP 52 inch TV. I have the White Spot problem developing and each day seems to show more spots. Model HL-55086W. Purchased Feb 2007.
I HAVE CALLED THEM THREE TIMES AND THEY STILL REFUSE TO PROVIDE ANY ASSISTANCE. Samsung USA still offer assistance. Does anyone have any guidance for me?

If the recall was made for units sold in the US you will probably get nowhere ( i have seen this before with Toshiba) I think you can save time and buy a refurbished one online, shouldn't cost more than 200-300 USD...
