Help Samsung 63 inch DLP

Greetings,

I have a Samsung 63 inch DLP Model HLP 6163W and uses blub BP96-00608A(P).

The other day we heard a popping sound and something similar to glass breaking. I thought it was the bulb however after removing it the bulb looks intact.

When started the TV makes a clicking sound and I can feel air coming from the lamp exhaust portal. I can also hear the whining sound which I think is the color wheel.

However the screen is black and the Lamp indicator keeps flashing.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

I am 90% sure your colorwheel shattered, If you take a look at the guides on this forums homepage (Guides>colorwheel) you can see how to get to it and physically inspect it...

Thanks for the tip. I will check it out and let you know what i find. Hopefully it didnt break the mirror as I thought i heard glass breaking.
