Black screen

Postby Mini » Sat Apr 11, 2009 4:10 pm

Hi, i have an LG 42PC1DA Plasma tv. All of a sudden i lost display, the sound is ok and the tv responds to the remote but the screen stays black. Do you have an idea what the problem could be?
P.s the power led flashes 6 or 7 times when i turn the tv on, can't be sure if it did this before or not but i have been told it may indicate the problem.

Well, it sounds like there's no power going to the display portion of the TV. It could be one of the buffers or x/y sustains losing power as well. Have you taken it to a TV tech?

maybe you need a new power supply? have you tried that? the most common problem with plasmas is the X or Y sustain board. I would change both!
The best "Do It Yourself" site for all types of Displays!
