PLasma P42W46X pic dark with shadows

Postby Maymoon » Mon May 04, 2009 8:11 pm

My customer has a Zenith/ LG plasman model P42W46X. The picture went dark with shadows. I think this is usually a ZSUS board. The top fuse on the board is blown. Put in another and it popped immediately. Checked the voltage coming in noted as 15V. It is 21V. So, I assume the ZSUS board is bad, but wonder if there is another problem given the high voltage. Is 21V ok? I was thinking of ordering a new ZSUS, but don't know if this is old model is worth two boards. Looking for some help. Thanks. The ZSUS number is 6871QZH033A. Thanks.

I'm not an expert on plasmas but...

Check the power supply, maybe its sending to much voltage to the sustain board.
