Sony 60" WEGA - Model No. KDF-60XS955

LCD Television technology has been around for a long time, but it keeps getting better. If you have a brighter room, LCD televisions will do a much better job at giving you excellent picture quality.

Sony 60" WEGA - Model No. KDF-60XS955

Postby LCDhelp » Thu Mar 25, 2010 8:30 pm

The TV wouldn't come on. I noticed that the lamp light was flashing and according to the manual it indicated that the lamp needed to be replaced. I replaced the lamp with a Philips XL-2200U bare lamp with no problem. The TV came on and I have a picture. The only problem is that the picture is grainy and not as clear. There aren't any bars or lines... just grainy. I called the company I ordered the lamp from and they suggested that I take the lamp out and use OfficeDuster 3 (can filled with air with straw at end) to clean the optical block before reinserting the lamp. I did that but the picture is still grainy. Any other suggestions? Thanks.

Wonder that if they could make that any uglier?
