Dead 19" Viewsonic LCD Monitor

Postby jimalvey » Sat Mar 28, 2009 12:31 am

I posted a second ago about my projector, but I also have a problem with a monitor!

I have a viewsonic lcd 19 in monitor that just went out of warranty and died 4 days ago. The green light does not come on. Is it dead, is it the power supply? We have tried plugging into different power supplies and nothing, can it be replaced or is it worth it?

jimalvey,
The power supply is most likely at fault. Discount-Merchant.com carries them.. CHEAP!

It's definately worth a fix. If you post the model number, I can direct you to the right part.

My Samsung had a little edge bleed also. Nothing on this monitor though. No dead pixels either

I could not find anything like a factory defect/recall for Viewsonics with this defect. did you resolve the issue?
