Sony 50E2000

Postby seer7 » Mon Aug 09, 2010 7:19 pm

I have a Sony WEGA 50". I got a message about the lamp nearing the end of its life.
I replaced it and now have a 3" long...across the entire top of the screen...transparent pink band.

Ordered another bulb. Same thing. This was never there with the original bulb when I took it out.
Also my color is not as vivid. Can someone advise me here. :(

First, the lamp has nothing to do with this particular problem. Lamp's job is simply to reflect white light.
However to let you know what could be causing the problem, please post the complete model number for your tv.
Most of the time this symptom is the DMD, board.
