Model Code HLS5086WX/XAA comes on for 30 sec

Postby Cowdal » Wed Jul 06, 2011 3:10 am

In have a DLP model HLS5086WX/XAA comes on for about 30-40 sec. Then shuts down and blinks the standby/temp, timer, and lamp lights. All at the same time. There are no different sounds that it makes. Just wondering if anyone knows what's up. My model number isnt on the samsung website. Any info is much help, thanks.

Hello,

Do you get any distortion on the screen? if not then when was the last time you changed the lamp?

Well sounds like to me you are having a bulb issue. I had a Samsung I was selling and a now X friend had a buyer and against my better judgement I took it to him. I set up the hole thing and had it on for him for about 1/2 hour sitting on a table supplied by him. I showed him it worked great left and to come back next day, oh he called me and said that my 61" Samsung had problems would cut off after 30 to 60 seconds. This x friend tried moving it off his table by his self and he dropped it which broke his big screen lens and I found out after cracked my bulb which now stayed on for 30 to 60 seconds. I replaced my bulb with a new Philips and worked, now thats my story and I am sticking to it.
