White Vertical Lines

Postby rbsoto8 » Mon Nov 23, 2009 12:04 am

Hey guys I have a HL-p6163W and replaced the bulb about 6 months ago with a new samsung bulb. Anyways thats fixed that issue but now Im getting white vertical lines on my screen that stay when I change the channel and I do all the diagnostic stuff(aging patterns, red, blue, green etc..) I notice when we turn the TV off the lines dissapear but then reapear after the unit is warm(I guess)... It can take 10min or 2 hours but the lines will comeback... I have been searching and it seems like one of the boards that may be causing it....Any help will be appreciated... Thx rick

EDIT.... Know after the lines appear if we continue to watch it the screen will go black and sometime 1/4 of the lines will show on the very bottom of the screen..

DMD chip or light engine, I'm afraid... the bottom half the screen is black too? might be light tunnel.
