I just purchased a 5 year old 50" DLP from a gut who said it worked fine. I set it up and after a few hours it "blinked" which means it went black for a second or two and then came back on. It happened every 15 mins. or so then started to happen more often. I asked a friend and he asked what input I was using and I told him I was using the "component video" input. He said switch it to HDMI and I did and didn't have another problem for that whole day probably 9 hours of watching football. Then the next day I turned it on and after 10 mins. I turned itself off and the lights on the front started blinking. "Lamp" - green light & "standby temp" - red. and it wont stay on more than 1 min. Can anyone help with this..?
Also... When I originally got it and was playing Xbox on it through the component video input it blinked even more often then when watching TV through the component video input
