HLP6163W,6 Years on factory Bulb! Also a question.

6 years on the bulb that the tv came with.
I did not check the hours as I have found when you go in there it resets all the TVs setting to factory.
Used it every day for 8-14 hours a day,thats some bulb.
It still worked fine I figured I just better change it.

WOW what a difference!!!!

I do have a small issue.
sometimes I see very faint slanted lines gong frome top right of the tv to the bottom left.
Its just not a perfectly clean picture.
If I shut off the cable box and all you see is a black screen then you can really see them.
but I have found by turning the tv off and on they will go away.
also if I unplug the tv for a few minuted sometimes they go away.
and if i tap the back near the bulb cover it changes the lines and they go away.

any ideas??

you got a pretty good life out of the stock lamp :D
do you have any digital inputs on your TV? try an HDMI OR DVI input to see if you get those lines...
this sounds like it is a Digital Video Board problem!
