Tools Required: 1 Phililps screwdriver, 1 Pair of Pliers, & A new lamp.

Time Required: About 15 minutes.

Abstract: This guide is being published to show how easy it is to replace your original SAMSUNG BP96-01073A Lamp.

NOTE: We recommend you to use latex gloves when handling the new bulb to avoid any dirt or oil. Our hands are naturally oily…The oil residue from our hands can cause premature failure of the lamp if the front side of the lamp is not wiped down after the installation. It doesn’t hurt to do a final wipe with a clean, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth before reinstalling your lamp…

 

SAMSUNG BP96-01073A Lamp casing   1.- Stat by turning the lamp enclosure until you can see in the back two screws on opposite corners. 2.- Uninstall both of them and proceed to remove the top lid.   3.- Now you’ll be able to see the bare lamp inside the plastic enclosure. 4.- With your Philips screwdriver you can retrieve the screw located on the side of the bulb.   5.- Remove the nut located on the top terminal of the lamp using the pair of pliers. 6.- Upon closer observation, you can see four screws securing the lamp holder.   7.- One by one take them out to release the lamp holder from its place. 8.- Displace the lamp holder, by pulling it up.   9.- Remove your old bulb by pulling it out. A.- Bring out the new PHILIPS E22 UHP 100W/120W 1.0 lamp.   B.- Install the new lamp in its place, inside the plastic bulb’s base. C.- Place the lamp holder on top of the new bulb.   D.- Let’s secure it by inserting and fastening the four screws on each corner. E.- Proceed to secure one connector cable to the top terminal of the new lamp by fastening with the nut.   F.- Screw back together the side of the lamp and the second connector cable. G.- Let’s place back the plastic lid of the lamp casing and reinstall the screws until it becomes one piece again.   H.- You have now completed the lamp replacement. Congratulations.!

 

 

IMPORTANT: After installing the replacement bulb, you should wipe it with a clean cloth to avoid any dirt or oil. Our hands are naturally oily…this could reduce considerably the life span of the new lamp.
