Unplug for 5 minutes.

Plug back in and try again.

2 blinks

No picture or sound


Temperature problem
 Make sure fan exhaust is not blocked.
Check for dust build up. Still not working?
Requires Service. Call Authorized

3 blinks

No picture or sound

Lamp cove or door, or lamp unit not secure

Make sure lamp door is secure.

If it still doesn't solve the issue, call your lamp retailer for further technical support.

Power LED 4 blinks

No picture or sound

Fans have lost power.

Suspect AGU or A board depending on model. This could also be a temperature related issue.

Make sure fan exhaust is not blocked. Check for dust build up and clean filters.

Still not working? Call your lamp retailer for a referral to an authorized Sony service center.

5 blinks

No picture or sound

Lamp driver (ballast) may be bad.

Replace the lamp first. If the lamp doesn't ignite, may be ballast.

6 blinks

No picture or sound

Over voltage protection occured.

Requires Service.

Call your lamp retailer for a referral to an authorized Sony service center.

No picture or sound

 Audio problems.

failed due to power surge.

No picture or sound

 Lamp may be bad
Replace the lamp. If you have already replaced the lamp, call your lamp retailer for technical support.

Please keep in mind that an indicator light may not necessarily mean that your lamp is bad. Your television may have other faulty components such as a bad ballast or power supply. Other components such as an optical engine or power supply can contribute to multiple components being faulty.
