  • To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose your Optoma projector to rain or excessive moisture.
  • Other than opening the lamp cover to replace the lamp, do not open or disassemble the projector. This may cause electric shock.
  • Save your eyes and avoid looking directly into the laser light on the remote control. Never point the laser light into anyone’s face or eyes since the remotes are equipped with a small Class II laser that omits radiation.

Avoid the following environments:

  • Extreme temperatures whether hot, cold or humid.
  • Don’t place directly in sunlight.
  • Dusty areas with excessive dust and dirt.
  • Stay away from any appliances generating a strong magnetic field.
  • Never place in direct sunlight.

Replacing Optoma Lamps

  • Please be sure to change the lamp when it shows warning messages.
  • If you leave the lamp too long it may burn out and make a loud popping sound. Should this happen, the projector will not turn on until the lamp has been replaced.
  • When changing the lamp, allow your Optoma projector to cool down. These projectors operate at extremely high heat that can cause severe burns.
  • After changing a new lamp, please reset the lamp life from OSD menu.
