Unauthorized copy cat manufacturers don’t have access to the proper materials and often use toxic and carcinogenic substitutes. They are also unable to properly calibrate these generic lamps so generic often end up damaging the sophisticated electronics in your NEC NP M271X projector. Since they are unstable, generics are also prone to explosions. Your projector warranty will be void if a generic is installed. Go with an authentic.

      Hi Robinson,
Have you followed this procedure to reset the lamp timer hours. You have to reset the lamp hours to zero to stop the projector from turning on and off. Did you change the filter as well? That is recommended with this model.
      Try following these steps:
Clear usage hours and reset hours

Plug in the power cord into the wall outlet.
      Turn on the projector.
      From the MENU select RESET.
      Choose CLEAR LAMP HOURS.
      A confirmation message appears.
      Select YES.

      Reset the filter hours:

Scroll up to CLEAR Filter HOURS.
      A second submenu will appear.
Select YES. Press the ENTER button.
The projector should turn on and work as usual once this is done. Resetting the lamp timer to zero is the final step to letting the projector know it has a new lamp.
      Hope this helps.
      Regards,
      Shelagh
