Replace the Epson PowerLite 1222 air filter
When to replace the Epson PowerLite 1222 air filter?
The Epson PowerLite 1222 air filter is an important part of helping to keep your projector working properly. It keeps out the dust and dirt from getting inside but also helps the air circulate so your projector doesn’t overheat. Clean air filters can help your projector lamp last longer.
Cleaning the Air Filter and Vents
Cleaning the air filters should be a regular part of your projector maintenance but it you forget you will see an onscreen message telling you to clean them. Follow these steps:
1. Turn off the projector and unplug the power cord.
2. Gently remove the dust from the Epson PowerLite 1222 air filterusing a small vacuum designed for computers or a very soft brush (such as a paintbrush). DON’T use canned air since this leaves a flammable residue in the projector. The canned air can also push dust into the projector’s sensitive optics and damage them.
3. If the filters are very blocked with dust you can remove them to clean both side. DON’T use any water, detergent or cleaning solutions on the filter.
4. If there is too much dust or if the Epson PowerLite 1222 air filter is damaged, you will need to replace it. After cleaning the air filter, you may also see a message telling you to clean or replace it
