If you’re wondering how many lamp hours you have left, check the remaining time left using the Service Menus, Total Lamp Hours option. You can expect close to 2,000-hour of lamp use depending on frequency of use and regular maintenance.

When it’s time to change the InFocus IN32 projector lamp you may seen the following signs:

On screen message REPLACE THE LAMP appears on screen.

Installing the replacement projector lamp

Follow these important safety steps BEFORE installing the replacement

Turn off the InFocus IN32 projector and unplug the power cord.
To avoid getting burned, let the InFocus IN32 projector projector fully cool before changing the lamp.
Place the projector on a soft surface.
Do not operate the projectors while any of the lamps are removed as this may result in malfunctions, fire hazard and other accidents.
Caution: Don’t touch the screen or the actual bulb with your finger since the oil from your skin can cause a black spot on the bulb.

Remove the lamp door by using a screw driver to gently pop off the cover.
Slide the door forward and lift the door off.
Using the screw driver to loosen the screw holding the InFocus SP-LAMP-019 in place.
Disconnect the connector attaching the InFocus SP-LAMP-019 to the InFocus IN32 projector.

Grab the InFocus
SP-LAMP-019 lamp handle and carefully lift the lamp cage up.Pulling too quickly can cause the bulb to shatter.
Install the new InFocus SP-LAMP-019 lamp housing and tighten the screw.
Connect the connection wire from the lamp to the projector
Slide the lamp door back in place, making sure it is aligned so it clicks into place.
You are ready to reset the lamp hours.

NOTE: The InFocus SP-LAMP-019 contains mercury and should not be thrown into regular garbage. Recycle your used lamps!

Step 3: Reset the projector lamp timer

After replacing the InFocus SP-LAMP-019 projector lamp be sure to reset the lamp hours. Failure to do so will mean your InFocus IN32 will NOT TURN ON.

Open the MAIN menu. Press SELECT
Scroll down to the SERVICE menu.
Scroll down to RESET LAMP HOURS.
Lamp hours will be reset to zero.

Tips for longer lamp life

Keep your air filters clean to avoid overheating the projector.
Turn off the InFocus IN32 and let it stand for at least one hour ever 24 hours.
Make sure there is enough airflow around the projector particularly if it’s been permanently mounted.

Both the Hitachi CP-X300 Power and Lamp Indicators are flashing red while the Temp Indicator is turned off.
Color tone on the screen may also appear weak or washed out.

Install the Hitachi DT00841 projector lamp

Follow these important safety steps before replacing the Hitachi DT00841 projector lamp:

Turn off the Hitachi CP-X300 projector.
Unplug the power cord.
Allow the projector to cool for at least 45 minutes. It should be cool to the touch. This projector works using high heat and there is danger you can be burned.
NOTE: If the projector is mounted on the ceiling, don’t stand underneath the projector while opening the cover.

Prepare the new Hitachi CP-X300 projector lamp. If the projector is mounted on a ceiling, or if the lamp has broken, contact your dealer for assistance.
Loosen the screw (marked by arrow) of the lamp cover and then slide the lamp cover to the side to remove it.
Loosen the 2 screws (marked by arrow) of the projector lamp, and slowly pick up the lamp by the handles. Be careful not the bang the lamp. The Hitachi DT00841 projector lamp contains mercury and must be recycled properly. Do not throw it in regular garbage.
Insert the new lamp, taking care not to touch the actual bulb. Oil in your fingers will cause a dark spot on the lamp when it heats up.
Tighten the two screws of the Hitachi DT00841 projector lamp that were loosened to remove the old projector lamp.
Slide the lamp cover back in place and firmly fasten the screw of the lamp cover.
Turn on the projector and set the lamp timer:

To reset the projector lamp timer:

Note: Reset the projector lamp time only when you have replaced the lamp so the Hitachi CP-X300 projector can properly track the lamp life. Otherwise you run the risk of using the lamp beyond its lamp life.

Press the MENU button
Scroll down to the GO TO ADVANCED MENU option. Press ENTER
Scroll down to the OPTION menu in the left column and press ENTER.
Scroll down to LAMP TIME. Press ENTER To make a dialogue field appear
Scroll up to the RESET option on the dialogue box.
The lamp setting will be set to zero.

Replacing the air filters

Get more hours from your Hitachi DT00841 by keeping your air filters clean to avoid overheating the projector.

Pull the filter frame’s knob up while holding the filter cover. The filter frame will come off and the air filter will appear.
Take out the old air filter and insert the new air filter.
Put the filter frame back.
Put the filter unit back into the projector
Turn the projector on and reset the filter time using the FILTER TIME item in the EASY MENU.

Install a new Epson ELPLP49 projector lamp

Before installation:

Turn power button off and wait for power light to stop flashing
Turn off power switch on the back of the Epson EMP-7100 projector
Unplug the power cord
Allow the Epson EMP-7100 to cool for one hour – it should be cool to the touch. Inside of the projector can be very hot since these machines operator under high temperatures and you run the risk of being burned if the projector has not cooled down.
Do not operate the projectors while any of the lamps are removed as this may result in malfunctions, fire hazard and other accidents.

Caution: Don’t touch the screen or the actual bulb with your finger since the oil from your skin can cause a black spot on the bulb.

1. The lamp cover for the Epson EMP- 7100 is found on top of the projector. Take the screwdriver that came with the projector and put it into opening on the lamp cover to release the cover switch. Remove the lamp cover.

2. Remove the two screws on either side of Epson ELPLP49 projector lamp. Place the screws to either side.

3. Pull the projector lamp out using the top handle. Be sure to pull it out straight. Pulling too quickly can cause the bulb to shatter. Learn what to do should the bulb shatter.

NOTE: The Epson ELPLP49 projector lamp contains mercury and should not be thrown into regular garbage. Recycle your used lamps! If you bought from an authentic manufacturer they will recycle the lamp for you at no extra cost (another reason to buy authentic lamps).

4, Take the new Epson ELPLP49 projector lamp by the handle and gently put it into place making sure the lamp is facing in the right direction.

5. Replace the Epson ELPLP49 screws on the newly installed lamp.

6. Re-connect the projector lamp cover. Tighten the screws on the cord and turn on the Epson EMP- 7100 projector.

7. Reset the projector lamp timer.

Reset the Epson EMP-7100 Lamp Replacement Counter only when the Epson ELPLP49 projector lamp has been replaced.

Turn the Epson PowerLite Pro Cinema 7100 projector on.
Press MENU to display the configuration menu.
Press the down arrow to move down the menu to the Reset option.

Press Enter to enter the Reset Menu.
Press the down arrow to move down the menu to the Reset Lamp Hours option.
Press Enter.

When the Reset Lamp Hour option has been chosen the Reset Lamp Hours message will appear.
Use the cursor to move to the YES option.
Press Enter to reset the lamp hours to zero.

Prolong the life of the Epson ELPLP49 lamp:

Extend the life of the newly installed Epson ELPLP49 projector lamp with the following tips:

Keep your air filters clean to avoid overheating the projector.

Your Vivitek D326MX projector uses the Vivitek 5811116206-S projector lamp. Before changing the projector lamp do the following safety steps:

Reduce the risk of electrical shock by disconnecting the power cord on the Vivitek D326MX projector.
Reduce the risk of severe burns by allowing the projector to cool for at least 45 minutes.

Turn the projector around to locate the lamp cover screw.
a) Remove the two captive screw holding the lamp cover place.
b) Remove the lamp compartment cover

Remove the two screws holding the Vivitek 5811116206-S in place.
Life the module handle up.
Remove the Vivitek 5811116206-S. Pulling too quickly can cause the bulb to shatter.
NOTE: Don’t throw the Vivitek 5811116206-S projector lamp into regular garbage! Since it contains mercury, this lamp must be properly recycled.

Insert the new Vivitek 5811116206-S into the projector making sure it’s properly aligned.
Tighten the two screws.
Replace the projector lamp cover and tighten the two screws.
You are now ready to reset the lamp timer.

Resetting the Lamp Hour Timer

It’s important to only reset the lamp timer when the Vivitek 5811116206-S projector lamp has been replaced. Resetting the lamp timer without changing the lamp can make it work beyond its recommended hours and cause harm to your Vivitek D326MX projector.

Press the Menu button to open the OSD menu.
Press the cursor buttons to move to the Installation II menu.
Cursor down to the LAMP HOUR RESET option
Press ENTER. An on screen message appears
Press the cursor down arrow to reset the lamp hour to zero.
Press MENU to get back to the Installation II Menu.

Extending the life of the Vivitek 5811116206-S projector lamp:

Keep your air filters clean to avoid overheating the projector.
Use the Lamp Power option on the Vivitek D326MX projector and set to Eco Mode to reduce the amount of power used but extend lamp life.

A blinking amber light on the Dell 1409X means the projector lamp is approaching end of life. You will also see the on-screen message “Lamp is approaching the end of its useful life in full power operation. Replacement suggested!”

Don’t wait too long or you may hear making a loud popping noise before the projector lamps burns. “Lamp Defective” will then show on screen and remain until a new projector lamp has been installed. The projector will eventually turn off.

Replacing the Dell 1409X projector lamp

Before replacing the Dell 311-8943 (725-10120) projector lamp be sure to turn the projector off and disconnect from the AC plug. Let the projector cool down for at least 30 minutes. It should be cool to the touch. Don’t attempt to change the lamp when the projector is still hot as there is a good chance you can get severely burned.

Place the Dell 1409WX on a soft surface and turn in upside down to access the projector lamp cover. Loose the two screws that hold the projector lamp cover in place.
Loosen the two screws that secure the projector lamp.
Pull the projector lamp up by its metal handle. Pulling too quickly can cause the bulb to shatter. NOTE: Don’t throw the Dell 311-8943 projector lamp into regular garbage! Since it contains mercury, this lamp must be properly recycled.
Install the new Dell 311-8943 projector lamp making sure it is properly aligned into the projector.

Reset the Dell 1409WX projector lamp counter

The Dell 1409WX projector tracks the life of the Dell 311-8943 (725-10120) projector lamp and will trigger the warning signals when it’s time to replace. Each time you replace the Dell 311-8943 projector lamp you must reset the lamp timer to zero. Failure to do so can result in you using the projector past the optimum lamp life and causing the projector lamp to explode.

To access the Main Menu press the left or right buttons on your projector’s control panel or remote control.
Scroll over the the LAMP Menu. Press ENTER to access.
Scroll down to the Lamp Reset icon. Press ENTER.
Scroll down to choose YES and press ENTER to reset the projector lamp timer.

Tips for extending Dell 1609WX projector lamp life:

From the LAMP Menu, choose ECO MODE: Select On to use the projector at the lower power level of 165 Watts, which makes the Dell 1409X projector operate quieter and with lower light that gives more projector lamp life. Select off to operate at the 200 Watts power level.
Keep your air filters clean to avoid overheating the projector.
Every 24 hours, turn off the projector and let it stand for 1 hour
Make sure there is enough airflow around the Dell 1409X projector particularly if it’s been permanently mounted.

The Optoma GT360 uses a BL-FP180E (SP.8EF01GC01) specialized projector lamp that will need to be changed after 3000 hours of use. Avoid safety and health issues and keep your projector working with an authentic Optoma GT360 projector lamp replacement.

End-of-life warnings

When the Optoma BL-FP180E (SP.8EF01GC01) projector lamp is reaching end of life, a warning sign appears on screen.

Replace the lamp immediately when you see the warning signs. Using the lamp beyond its recommended 3000 hours can result in the lamp exploding inside the projector. This results in a messy and time consuming clean up. Watch for these other signs that the Optoma GT360 projector lamp is reaching it’s end of life:

the Lamp LED flashing amber
picture has poor colour quality
image vibrancy and definition has deteriorated

Installing the replacement Optoma BL-FP180E lamp

Pre-installation safety Preparation:

Follow these important safety tips before installing a new Optoma BL-FP180E into your Optoma GT360 projector.

Switch off the power to the projector by pressing the Power/Standby button.
Allow the projector to cool down for at least 30 minutes. If should be cool to the touch. The Optoma GT360 runs at a high temperature and you can burn yourself badly if you don’t allow the projector to cool down.
Disconnect the power cord.

Step-by-step instructions

Remove the old lamp

1: Use a screwdriver to loosen the two screws holding the projector lamp cover in place. The Optoma GT360 should be cool to the touch.

2: Remove the lamp cover and place to one side. Don’t lose the screws to the cover as the projector will not turn back on until the projector lamp cover has been properly installed.

3: Remove both screws holding the BL-FP180E (SP.8EF01GC01) in place.Lift the wire handle on the lamp and gently remove it from the projector. Be careful not to hit the lamp or you can cause it to break.

NOTE: The BL-FP180E (SP.8EF01GC01) contains mercury and should be properly recycled. Don’t throw into the regular garbage.

Install the new lamp:

a. Take the new Optoma BL-FP180E (SP.8EF01GC01) projector lamp out of its packaging and lift the handle on the lamp.

b. Gently place it into the projector making sure not to touch the actual bulb. Oil from fingerprint marks can burn black spots onto the lamp when it heats up.

c. Tighten the screws on the projector lamp.

d. Close the lid. Tighten the cover screws. You are now ready to reset the lamp timer.

Step 4: Reset the Optoma GT360 projector lamp timer

Your Optoma GT360 comes equipped with an automatic projector lamp timer that tracks the number of hours left for the BL-FP180E (SP.8EF01GC01) lamp. Each time you change the lamp you need to reset the lamp timer. Failure to do so may cause the projector to use the lamp over the recommended period of time resulting in the lamp exploding.

To reset the lamp timer:

Press MENU
Select OPTIONS
Select Lamp Settings
Select Lamp Reset
Select Yes

TIP FOR LONGER LAMP LIFE:

Under Brightness Mode:

Choose STD to dim the projector lamp and lower power consumption making the lamp last longer.
Choose BRIGHT to make the lamp brighter but decrease lamp life.

How to replace the Toshiba TDP-D1-US projector lamp

Changing the Toshiba TDP-D1-US projector lamp can be done in 3 easy steps. Our guide shows you how.

Step 1: Be prepared with an authentic lamp

It may be confusing trying to find the correct Toshiba TDP-D1-US projector lamp for your Toshiba TDP-D1-US projector because there are so many choices on the Internet. Your key for successful replacement lamp is to always install an OEM replacement projector lamp. Look for the seal of approval.

Avoid getting fooled into buying a counterfeit. Step 2: Watch for warning signs

When the Toshiba TDP-D1-US projector lamp is running out of time you’ll notice the picture has poor color quality or may appear dimmer than usual. When the projector lamps reaches the end of life at 1,500 hours, the bulb icon will appear and a message “Replace your lamp” appears.

Step 3: Installing the projector lamp

Follow these important safety tips before changing the projector lamp:

Switch off the power to the projector by pressing the Power/Standby button.
After waiting 30 seconds, disconnect the power cord.
Allow the projector to cool down for at least 30 minutes. If should be cool to the touch. The Toshiba TDP-D1-US projectors run using high temperatures and you can burn yourself badly if you don’t allow the projector to cool down.

Loosen the two screws holding the lamp cover in place. and remove the lamp cover.

Loosen the three screws holding the Toshiba TDP-LD1 75016689 projector lamp in place, and pull on the handle to remove the lamp. NOTE: Recycle the burnt out Toshiba TDP-LD1 75016689 properly as these lamps do contain mercury.

Get the new Toshiba TDP-LD1 75016689 replacement lamp ready. Align the orientation, press down until the bottom is reached, and lock in place using the three lamp locking screws.

Replace the lamp cover. You are now ready to reset the lamp timer.

Reset the replacement projector lamp timer

Each time you change the lamp you need to reset the lamp timer. Failure to do so may cause the projector to use the lamp over the recommended period of 2000 hours time resulting in the projector lamp exploding.

Extend the life of the Toshiba projector lamp:

Press the SETTING MENU button to display the menu screen.
Scroll down the menu options to the Lamp Time
Press the ENTER button to select zero.
Click ENTER to exit the MENU.
