How to install the Epson ELPLP41

Before installation:

Turn power button off wait for light to stop flashing.
Turn off power swtich on the back of the Epson EX30 projector.
Unplug the power cord.
Allow the Epson EX30 projector to cool for one hour – it should be cool to the touch. Inside of the projector can be very hot since these machines operator under high temperatures and you run the risk of being burned if the projector has not cooled down.
Do not operate the projectors while any of the lamps are removed as this may result in malfunctions, fire hazard and other accidents.

Caution: Don’t touch the screen or the actual bulb with your finger since the oil from your skin can cause a black spot on the bulb.

The lamp cover is found on top of the Epson EX30 projector. Loosen the lamp cover screw — you can’t remove it only loosen it.

Slide the Epson EX30 lamp cover off.

Loosen the two screws holding the Epson ELPLP41 lamp in place.

Grab the Epson ELPLP41 lamp by the two indents on the lamp. Gently remove the lamp.

Pulling too quickly can cause the bulb to shatter. Learn what to do should the bulb shatter.

NOTE: The Epson ELPLP41 lamp contains mercury and should not be thrown into regular garbage. Recycle your used lamps! If you bought from an authentic manufacturer they will recycle the lamp for you at no extra cost (another reason to buy authentic lamps).

Gently insert the Epson ELPLP41 lamp making sure it’s facing the right way.

Tighten the screws on the new Epson ELPLP41 lamp.

Replace the lamp cover and tighten the screw on the Epson EX30 lamp cover.
You are now ready to reset the lamp timer.

Reset the lamp timer on the Epson EX30

Reset the Epson EX30 Lamp Replacement Counter only when the Epson ELPLP41 lamp has been replaced.

Press the MENU button on the remote control. The Lamp Reset Menu will appear.
Scroll down to the RESET LAMP HOURS. Press ENTER.
A prompt appears asking if you want to replace the lamp.
Select YES and press ENTER.
Press MENU to exit.

Install a new Epson ELPLP49 lamp

Before installation:

Turn power button off wait for light to stop flashing
Turn off power swtich on the back of the Epson PowerLite Pro Cinema 9700 UB projector
Unplug the power cord
Allow the Epson PowerLite Pro Cinema 9700 UB to cool for one hour – it should be cool to the touch. Inside of the projector can be very hot since these machines operator under high temperatures and you run the risk of being burned if the projector has not cooled down.
Do not operate the projectors while any of the lamps are removed as this may result in malfunctions, fire hazard and other accidents.

Caution: Don’t touch the screen or the actual bulb with your finger since the oil from your skin can cause a black spot on the bulb.

1. The lamp cover for the Epson PowerLite Pro Cinema 9700 UB.
is found on top of the projector. Take the screwdriver that came with the projector and put it into opening on the lamp cover to release the cover switch. Remove the lamp cover.

2. Remove the two screws on either side of Epson ELPLP49 lamp. Place the screws to either side.

3. Pull the lamp out using the top handle. Be sure to pull it out straight. Pulling too quickly can cause the bulb to shatter. Learn what to do should the bulb shatter.

NOTE: The Epson ELPLP49 lamp contains mercury and should not be thrown into regular garbage. Recycle your used lamps!

4. Take the new Epson ELPLP49 lamp by the handle and gently put it into place making sure the lamp is facing in the right direction.

5. Replace the Epson ELPLP49 screws on the newly installed lamp.

6. Re-connect the lamp cover. Tighten the screws on the cord and turn on the Epson PowerLite Pro Cinema 9700 UB projector.

7. Re-attach the power cord. Turn the projector on and let it warm up.

8. Reset the Lamp Operating time.

Step 3: Install a new Epson lamp

Before installation:

Turn power button off wait for light to stop flashing
Turn off power swtich on the back of the Epson PowerLite Pro Cinema 9100 projector
Unplug the power cord
Allow the Epson PowerLite Pro Cinema 9100 to cool for one hour – it should be cool to the touch. Inside of the projector can be very hot since these machines operator under high temperatures and you run the risk of being burned if the projector has not cooled down.
Do not operate the projectors while any of the lamps are removed as this may result in malfunctions, fire hazard and other accidents.

Caution: Don’t touch the screen or the actual bulb with your finger since the oil from your skin can cause a black spot on the bulb.

1. The lamp cover for the Epson PowerLite Pro Cinema 9100 is found on top of the projector. Take the screwdriver that came with the projector and put it into opening on the lamp cover to release the cover switch. Remove the lamp cover.

2. Remove the two screws on either side of Epson ELPLP49 lamp. Place the screws to either side.

3. Pull the lamp out using the top handle. Be sure to pull it out straight. Pulling too quickly can cause the bulb to shatter. Learn what to do should the bulb shatter.

NOTE: The Epson ELPLP49 lamp contains mercury and should not be thrown into regular garbage. Recycle your used lamps!

4. Take the new Epson ELPLP49 lamp by the handle and gently put it into place making sure the lamp is facing in the right direction.

5. Replace the Epson ELPLP49 screws on the newly installed lamp.

6. Re-connect the lamp cover. Tighten the screws on the cord and turn on the Epson PowerLite Pro Cinema 9100 projector.

7. Re-attach the power cord. Turn the projector on and let it warm up.

8. Reset the Lamp Operating time.

Reset the Epson Lamp Timer

Reset the Epson PowerLite Pro Cinema 9100 Lamp Replacement Counter only when the Epson ELPLP49 lamp has been replaced.

Turn the Epson PowerLite Pro Cinema 9100 projector on.
Press MENU to display the configuration menu.
Press the down arrow to move down the menu to the Reset option.

Press Enter to enter the Reset Menu.
Press the down arrow to move down the menu to the Reset Lamp Hours option.
Press Enter.

When the Reset Lamp Hour option has been chosen the Reset Lamp Hours message will appear.
Use the cursor to move to the YES option.
Press Enter to reset the lamp hours to zero.

Prolong the life of the Epson ELPLP49 lamp:

Extend the life of the newly installed Epson ELPLP49 with the following tips:

Keep your air filters clean to avoid overheating the projector.
Turn off the Epson PowerLite Pro Cinema 9100 and let it stand for at least one hour ever 24 hours. An average use of four to five hours per day will ensure longer lamp life.
Make sure there is enough airflow around the projector particularly if it’s been permanently mounted.

When the picture on your Mitsubishi WD-73C12 RPTV becomes dimmer it’s time to replace the lamp.

Follow this step-by-step guide for replacing the Mitsubishi 915B455011/915B455A11 lamp.

When the lamp is no longer working the Status Light on the front of the Mitsubishi WD-92842 panel will begin blinking red.

Since the 915B455011 / 915B455A11 lamp is the only source of light for the TV when it has reached its end of life, the Mitsubishi WD-92842 will not turn on.

Installing the new Mitsubishi 915B455011/915B455A11

Before installation: Turn off the TV and allow it to cool for one hour. Failure to do so can put you at risk of burning yourself since the Mitsubishi WD-92842 operates under high heat.

After TV has cooled, turn the TV around to access the lamp cover located at the back of the Mitsubishi WD-92842 RPTV.

Using a #2 Philips screwdriver, loosen the screw holding the cover in place. Put the cover to one side.

Loosen the screw securing the lamp cartridge, releasing it from the mating threads. This is a captive screw so it will not be separated the lamp cartridge.)
When the screw is loosened, gently grasp the handle on the lamp cartridge and pull the lamp straight out. DO NOT TILT, as there may be glass fragments that will fall inside the TV.
If this happens, carefully pick up the larger shards wearing rubber gloves. Take a cloth just damp enough to pick up the small shreds. It’s important to pick up the broken lamps since this lamps does have mercury. Read more about proper clean-up from the EPA.

Take out the bag supplied with your new lamp and open it up. You’ll store the old lamp in this bag.
Put the old lamp gently into the opened bag. Close the bag.

Tighten the screw in the lamp.
Replace the cover and tighten the screws.
