Greetings,
I have a Samsung HLR4266WX/XAA with a (recently) cracked screen in it. I am investigating replacing the screen myself and have a few questions:
Does anyone have experience with removing these screens? Is it difficult? Is replacing them difficult? I have some DIY experience but im no professional although I am really good at following directions :)
I have done some research into the parts and it seems that there are two screens stacked together, the lenticular screen and the fresnel screen. Is there an easy way to determine if one or both are broken? There is no distortion from the screen crack other than a thin noticeable black line where the crack is. It would be nice to know before taking the thing apart as the cost to replace both is more than I paid for the television.
Thanks
