Mild Problem - Picture has lost clarity

Hey all, having some issues out of my Samsung Slim DLP television. My television has gradually lost clarity over the last 2 years and now it's to the point where the image really isn't very sharp at all, and when looking at a black area you get that kinda granulated area in the middle of the black where you can see a "less black" area. Not sure if this makes sense. Still on the original Lamp that came with it. Not sure if replacing that would help, or if maybe mirrors need cleaning (no idea how to do this) or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
