Hello,
wow, this is a tough one! have you moved your tv around much before this happened? if so the light engine or tunnel could have shifted...
Do you have any pictures of the screen with an image to see how it affects it???

hhmmmm I think there's either some obstruction in the light tunnel, or the lamp light is not pointed correctly...
I would dust it once more thoroughly to see if it clears it, maybe use a can of air like the keyboard type, just make sure your tv is unplugged

Hello again!
OK now the darkening seems clear. This seems to be a light obstruction of some kind. Most of the time it is the alignment of the lamp or its path towards down the tunnel... My suggestion, after all the cleaning and inspection you just made would be to remove the lamp and make sure it is properly fitted in the enclosure, a couple of millimeters of an edge can give you this big of a problem!

do you have another lamp lying around or a friend with a similar same brand tv (it might use the same lamp) just to rule out any defect in the lamp itself?
-thats why I always have a spare ;) -
