Mitsubishi 57" DLP WD57734 White Dot Syndrom

Postby baseballmom » Tue Dec 27, 2011 7:53 pm

Hi Everyone,

I have placed a few calls to Mitsubishi to ask how they are going to correct this problem. It took about a week but they finally told me they would cover the cost of the part. I don't know what part that is, but I still have to put out of pocket 265.00 for the service call and another $95.00 each additional call if that doesn't work. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have invested $1700.00 for the tv and one replacement bulb so far, now they want me to pay more to fix what appears from everything I read a manufacturing error. One person posted on the forum that they got a new TV. I would love to know how they were able to manage that. Everyone knows in this economy things are tight already but to now be asked to shell out more money with no guarantee is just ridiculous. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please advise.

Thanks,

Barb

Hi I have the same white dots problem.. Want to order the DLP chip but not sure of what the part number is. I live in Bush Alaska no service center for 1000 miles. My TV is a 2009 73" Mitsubishi WD 73C9.. Also would u change the bulb at the same time ? I've never changed it. Thanks

Hello,

Definitely sounds like the DLP chip needs replacing. I would recommend calling discount merchant as they carry these parts at good prices. To ensure you get the correct chip a part # is the best way to go. Your part # would be on the your original chip.
