LG Model RU-445Z51D

I was watching TV yesterday and my tv just turned off. I try to turn it back on and it sounds like it's going to turn on and then it shuts off again. The picture on it was fine so I'm not sure if it's the lamp or not. Someone please help.

have you taken a physical look at the lamp? If there is no fogging or burnt parts, the lamp is probably fine and you might be having a ballast issue...
