Does nobody really know?

I'm not a DLP tech. I work in IT and am an engineer. I've used this forum for some time to help me on some side projects and I've posted several times with ZERO answers to my questions.

Last question I asked was about a Sony DLP posted here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2138

Top 1" of screen has a red tint to it. I'm pretty sure there is alignment issues causing it, just not sure if the alignment issue is mechanical or software. I've asked, posted a pic and requested any info about fixing it with ZERO replies.
I'm not trying to sound unappreciative for the great information these forums give but I've scoured them for answers to this problem and can't seem to find one.

If you were to go to http://www.ocforums.com with a computer question, You'd at least get acknowledgment of the issue with at least a reference as to how/what/why the problem occurs and if we couldn't solve it with you, it couldn't be solved.

I really like this place and I've always been able to find answers to my questions in the former posts, just not this time. Someone please take a look and tell me that I'm either not getting the answer because it's such an easy problem to solve that nobody seems to want to mock my question, or tell me it cant be fixed. Just something please.

Thanks Everyone.

Hello Chaiyz,
I am sorry none of our fellow members have not gotten to your most recent question. This is a fairly common issue with Sony KDF models, and it usually indicates a wear on one of the 3 (RGB) LCD chips, in which case you would have to exchange the complete optical block... like the one below.

its an easy slide in / slide out procedure. hope this helps!
