Was getting a replace lamp message every 5 minutes or so and replaced the lamp with an OEM lamp. Followed the manual to set the rating and reset the lamp hour meter. I'm still get the replace lamp message although it happens less frequently. This happened the last time we replaced the lamp. Otherwise the TV functions fine but the message is irritating and interrupts the picture. I've reset the lamp meter over and over again and I still get the message.
What could be the problem?

well it can be the ballast board not sending the right voltage to your lamp, also...are you sure you reset the lamp timer correctly, cleared the hours back to "0"
besides that well... If you bought a generic lamp, you may be subject to a faulty picture. depending on your tv brand, most tvs take a philips lamp.

Yes Its a phillips bulb and I reset the lamp hour meter many times...the corners are also a little darker than in the center.
If it is the ballast board, is it even worth it to fix the set or buy new?

Hi!!
What i can recomend you is to unplug the tv for a couple of hours, then reset the lamp timer and then unplug the tv again for at least 2 hrs, by unplugging the tv for that period of time you are making a hard reset by draining the electricity from the tv, hope this can help you :ugeek:
