clicking noise/ blinking red light

I have a sony LCD tv and for awhile got a message on tv stating projection light nearing life replace. Then all the sudden the tv would shut off automatically which resulted in a clicking noise as if it was automatically turning itself off and a red light would keep blinking. I recently changed the bulb and now the tv won't turn on instead it click to turn off and I continue to get a red blinking light. I'm not sure what is going on.

It can be a couple things, 1st check the lamp physically after you've determined that the lamp is burned out Or not. Either way the ballast is most likely to be responsible.

I have a samsung dlp 50 inch. I have replaced lamp 4 times in 3 yrs. This time lamp went out and there was this buzzing sound that came up after trying to turn on tv. what should I be checking for? ty
