How many hours does my HL56A650 have on it?

Can someone tell me how I can tell how many hours of operation my tv has? Just ready to change the bulb and want to track it. Thanks

on samsungs there should be a counter but it is on the service menu which is hard to access... do you happen to have your owners manual?

Yes I do have the manual. Looked in the table of contents but could not find a reference to any timers

then this might be an internal / service menu option, have you ever replaced the lamp before?
If you have not, does your manual say where you can reset the lamp hour timer?

The set is still under warranty. A service guy came out then had to order the lamp. This is the first time the lamp will be replaced. Just read through the steps on replacing the lamp. No mention of checking or resetting the run time clock.

for customer whom I cannot find a reset hour timer function and cannot access the service menu, I usually just recommend they take out the lamp and leave the TV unplugged overnight.
Then reinstall the lamp and close the lamp door and plug the set back on, this should have the timer running from zero...
