Sony Model # KP51HW40

Not sure what the problem is but I get sound and faded picture on screen. If I leave it on long enough (let it warm up about an hour or so), eventually the picture appears but the colour sharpness is missing. The warm up time is getting longer each day though. Is this a lamp issue or any suggestions :?:

Yes, you guys might have the same problem but at different ends of the spectrum. One is getting too bright and washed out, while the other is too dark. Could be a voltage inverter? I don't know enough, but I'm looking into it.
