Hi everyone,
Recently I found a HL-P5685W DLP TV and have been trying to fix it. The tv powers up and after 3 attempts to turn on it shows and exclamation point with a solid lit bulb under it. I have replaced the bulb, ballast and color wheel so far, and I am not really sure where to go next. The color wheel does not ever spin up, and makes a high pitched noise, the same thing the one that was in it was doing. The ballast makes some clicking noises. My best guess is either a problem with the DMD board or the power supply. Does anyone know how I can troubleshoot these and figure out which one it is? I am going to start testing the power levels, but I have no idea what they are supposed to be, I think I read somewhere that the ballast should be receiving around 300V from the PS?
Also, I have read that there is 3 fans in this TV, I have only seen 1 so far. Where are the other 2 located?
Thanks, Joe
