The lamp warning light on the projector starts flashing orange. If it turns red and stays red, replace the Epson ELPLP32 projector lamp immediately.

A message saying “Replace the lamp” appears on screen.

Wondering how many hours are left? Track the number of hours left in the Epson ELPLP32 projector lamp on MAIN/INFO menu. If the Brightness setting is on normal, the ELPLP32 projector lamp will last up to 2000 hours. Change the Brightness setting to low and the Epson ELPLP32 lamp will last up to 3000 hours.

Step 3: Installing the new Epson ELPLP32

Installation will take under 10 minutes but before installing the new Epson ELPLP32 projector lamp into the Epson PowerLite 760c projector, be sure to follow these preparation steps:

Turn power button off and wait for the power light to stop flashing.
Unplug the power cord from the Epson Powerlite 760c projector.
The Epson Powerlite 760c should be cool to the touch before you try to change the Epson ELPLP32 lamp. This projector operate at a high temperatures and there is a risk of burning if you don’t wait for the cool down period.
Do not operate the projectors while any of the lamps are removed as this may result in malfunctions, fire hazard and other accidents.

Turn the Epson PowerLite 760c over and placing on a soft, scratch free surface.
Press on the tabs located on top of the Epson PowerLite 760c cover. Lift up the lamp cover.

Using the screw driver provided with the Epson PowerLite 760c projector, loosen the two screws holding the Epson ELPLP32 lamp in place.

Epson_PowerLite 760c_Epson_ELPLP31_projector_lamp_removal Pressing on the indents on the sides of the Epson ELPLP32, pull the projector lamp gently up out of the Epson PowerLite 760c projector. Take care not to bang the actual lamp or it may break. Learn how to do a proper clean up if the lamp breaks or explodes.

NOTE: The Epson ELPLP32 projector lamp contains mercury and should not be thrown into regular garbage. Recycle your used lamps and be good to the environment.

Gently place the new Epson ELPLP32 lamp into the Epson PowerLite 760c making sure not to touch the actual bulb. The oil on your fingers will leave a burn mark on the lamp once it heats up and this can cause black out spots on the screen.
Tighten the screws on the new Epson ELPLP32 lamp.
Slide the air filter out and remove it immediately. Slide in the new filter that came with the Epson ELPLP32 lamp. Replace the lamp cover.
You are now ready to reset the lamp timer.

Reset the lamp timer in the Epson PowerLite 760c

Your Epson PowerLite 760c has a built-in timer to track the life of the Epson ELPLP32 projector lamp. So, it’s very important that you reset the lamp timer every time you replace the Epson ELPLP32 projector lamp. Here’s how:

Press the MENU button on either the remote control on the projector’s control panel.
Scroll down to the RESET option.
Press Enter. The RESET ALL screen will appear.
Scroll down to LAMP-HOURS RESET.

Know the warning signs

The Sharp XG-P10XU projector lamp operates for approximately 1,000 hours, depending on the usage and maintenance. You should replace the projector lamp when it’s been used for 900 hours. If you notice a significant deterioration of the picture and color quality, you can replace it the projector lamp immediately. You can see the hours remaining for lamp usage by checking the On-screen Display option found on the Main Menu.

When the Sharp BQC-XGP10XU projector lamp has been used for 900 hours: The projector LAMP REPLACEMENT indicator lights up red, and the LAMP icon flashes yellow in the lower-left corner of the picture.

When the Sharp BQC-XGP10XU projector lamp has been used more than 900 hours: The LAMP icon will flash red in the lower-left corner of the picture, and the projector will turn off.

Replace the Sharp BQC-XGP10XU projector lamp immediately at 900 hours and don’t wait! Should the projector lamp explode, learn what to do.

Installing the Sharp BQC-XGP10XU projector lamp

Before replacing the Sharp BQC-XGP10XU projector lamp follow these important safety tips:

Switch off the power to the Sharp XG-P10XU projector by pressing the Power button.
Disconnect the power cord.
Allow the projector to cool down for at least one hour. If should be cool to the touch. The Sharp XG-P10XU projector uses high temperatures and you can burn yourself badly if you don’t allow the projector to cool down.

Turn over the Sharp XG-P10XU projector onto a soft service and loosen the user service screw that holds the projector lamp cover on place. Slide the cover off away from the projector and place it to one side.

Remove the screws holding the Sharp BQC-XGP10XU projector lamp in place. Grab the wire handle and gently pull the Sharp BQC-XGP10XU projector lamp out.

Take the new Sharp BQC-XGP10XU projector lamp and press it firmly into the lamp cage compartment. Be careful not to touch the actual bulb as the oil from your fingers left on the lamp will burn black holes onto the lamp that appear on screen.

Note: The used Sharp BQC-XGP10XU projector lamp contains mercury and should be properly recycled. Don’t throw it into regular garbage.

Fasten the securing screws. Slide the lamp cage cover back on in the direction of the projector. Then tighten the user service screw.

Reset the lamp timer and clean the air filters.

To reset the Sharp XG-P10XU projector lamp timer:

While pressing DOWN arrow, RIGHT arrow and ENTER on the projector, press POWER ON on the projector.

“LAMP 0000H” is displayed, indicating that the lamp timer is reset.

To clean the Sharp XG-P10XU air filter

Press the air filter tab and lift open the filter cover away from the projector.

Grasp the air filter between your fingers and lift it off the filter cover.

Vacuum the dust off the air filter – DO NOT WASH.

Put the air filter back on the filter frame.

Insert the tab on the end of the filter cover into the filter cover opening and press the filter cover into position.

Extend the life of the Sharp BQC-XGP10XU projector lamp:

Chose the “STD” mode to to dim the projector lamp and lower power consumption. This will extend the lamp life by up to 130%.
Keep your air filters clean to avoid overheating the projector.
Every 24 hours, turn off the projector and let it stand for 1 hour
Make sure there is enough airflow around the Sharp XG-P10XU projector particularly if it’s been permanently mounted.

End of life signals

When the 3M MP7740 projector lamp is approaching end of life the LAMP INDICATOR on the projector lights up red and the “CHANGE THE LAMP” message appears on the screen.

Track projector lamp life:

Press the TIMER button on the remote control for three seconds. The number of hours left until shutdown will decrease until 0 hour is reached, then power will turn off automatically. The operating time of the lamp is displayed at the bottom of the screen with the following messages:

CHANGE THE LAMP, AFTER REPLACING LAMP RESET THE LAMP TIMER: Appears when the lamp has reached the usual end of life.
POWER WILL TURN OFF AFTER 20 HOURS: Appears when 20 hours or less remain in the lamp life.

When you need to replace the lamp, the projector will run for only 10-minute intervals until the lamp is replaced and the lamp timer is reset. The message “CHANGE THE LAMP” will also continue to blink at projector start-up.

Replacing the 3M 78-6969-9205-2 lamp

Before replacing the projector lamp:

Wait until the projector is cool to the touch before removing the lamp. These projector work at a high temperatures and you can get badly burned.
Be sure to unplug the projector before replacing the lamp.

Remove the lamp access door located on the bottom of the projector by loosening the retaining screw.
Note: The screws in the lamp access door is self-contained and can’t be removed.

Loosen the screw holding the projector lamp in place. This screw is self-contained and that can’t be removed from the projector lamp cage

NOTE: The 3M 78-6969-9205-2 lamp contains mercury and should not be thrown into regular garbage. Recycle your used lamps!

Carefully slide the 3M 78-6969-9205-2 lamp module out by pulling straight up on the retaining wire on top of the module.
Carefully insert the new 3M 78-6969-9205-2 projector lamp into the projector by sliding it straight down into the opening. Ensure that it’s securely in the projector and fully seated.
Tighten the lamp module retaining screw to secure the lamp module in place.
Insert the hinge tabs on the bottom of the lamp access door, close, and tighten the retaining screw to secure the door.

You are now ready to reset the lamp operation hour.

Reset the lamp timing

The 3M MP7740 projector tracks the projector lamp life and when the 3M 78-6969-9205-2 lamp is changed the lamp operation hours must be reset. After replacing the lamp, you have 10 minutes to reset the lamp operation hours after switching on the power. After 10 minutes the projector will shut down and continue to shut down until the lamp operations has been reset.

To reset:

To display the total lamp hours, press the RESET button on the projector or the Timer button on the remote control and hold for three seconds. Lamp hours will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.
Press the RESET button on the projector or MENU button on the remote while the amp hours are displayed. The lamp hour reset message will display.
Use the left-arrow button on the remote control or the Menu diskpad of the projector to select 0, and wait until the timer display has cleared.

Extend the 3M 78-6969-9205-2 lamp life

Keep your air filters clean to avoid overheating the projector.
Turn off the projector and let it rest for at least two hours a day.
Make sure there is enough airflow around the projector particularly if it’s mounted on the ceiling.

3 steps to a new Acer PD100 projector lamp

Replacing the Acer PD100 projector lamp can be done in three simple steps.

Your Acer PD100 projector uses the Acer EC.J2101.001 projector lamp. Be sure to buy an authentic Acer PD100 projector lamp.

Note these instructions are also compatible with the following models:

Step 1: Know the warning signs

When your Acer PD100 projector lamp is coming to its end of life, you will see this replacement message appear on screen: Lamp is approaching the end of its useful life in full power operation. Replacement Suggested!”

Other warning indications may be a washed out image with faded colors. Unfortunately, when you see this warning you don’t have a lot of time to replace the projector lamp. You must replace the lamp immediately. You can track the lamp life on the Managment menu under Lamp Hour Relapse. You can expect the Acer EC.J2101.001 projector lamp to last 2000 hours on Standard mode and 3000 hours on Eco mode. You can turn Eco Mode on or off from the Management menu.

Step 3: Replacing the projector lamp

Before installation safety steps:

Turn off the projector and unplug the AC cord.
These projectors operate under high temperatures and there is a risk of burning if the projector has not cooled enough. Allow the PD100 to cool for one hour. It should be cool to the touch.

1. Use a screwdriver to remove the two screws from the cover.

2 Lift the cover off the projector and place it to one side.

3. Use a screwdriver to remove the two screws holding the Acer PD100 projector lamp in place. screw from the cover. Lift the wire handle on the Acer EC.J2101.001 bulb and gently pull the lamp up to remove it.

Don’t throw the old Acer EC.J2101.001 projector lamp into regular garbage as it contains mercury — send it to a local recycling program.

4. Take the new Acer EC.J2101.001 projector lamp using the wire handle. Avoid touching the bare bulb; the oil on your finger can leave a black mark on the lamp affecting the projected image.

5. Tighten the screws on the new Acer EC.J2101.001projector lamp.

6. Put the lid back onto the projector. Tighten the screw holding the lid in place. Plug the AC cables back into the projector. Turn the project on so you can reset the lamp timer.

Resetting the Lamp timer

It’s important to always reset the lamp timer after replacing the projector lamp in your Acer PD100 projector. You want the projector to track how many hours the lamp has been used and send out warning messages when the Acer EC.J2101.001 reaches end of life.

To reset the Projector Lamp timer:

Open the MAIN MENU. Press ENTER.
Scroll down to the MANAGEMENT menu. Press ENTER.
Scroll down to the Lamp Hour reset option.
Press the right arrow.
The lamp will be reset to zero.
You can set the Eco Mode and Lamp Hours left plus time remaining.

When to replace the projector lamp

When it’s time to replace the Optoma BL-FU185A projector lamp you’ll see lamp replacement message flash on screen. Change the lamp in your Optoma DS322 projector immediately.

You may also notice the Lamp-LED light flashing red or the picture quality starting to get poor resolution with washed out colours.

Installing the Optoma BL-FU185A

Before replacing the Optoma BL-FU185A projector lamp follow these important safety tips:

Switch off the power to the Optoma DS322 projector by pressing the Power/Standby button.
Disconnect the power cord.
Allow the projector to cool down for at least 30 minutes. If should be cool to the touch. These projectors run using high temperatures and you can burn yourself badly if you don’t allow the projector to cool down.

1. Use a screwdriver to undo the two screws holding the projector lamp cover in place. The screws on the lamp cover and the lamp cannot be removed.

2. Remove the lid and place to one side. Don’t lose the lid as the Optoma DS322 projector will not turn back on until the lamp cover has been properly installed.

3. Remove the two screws holding the Optoma BL-FU185A projector lamp in place.

Note: The used Optoma BL-FU185A projector lamp contains mercury and should be properly recycled. Don’t throw it into regular garbage.

4. Lift up the wire handle on the Optoma BL-FU185A lamp and slowly remove it from the projector. Be careful not to bang the lamp against the projector as this may case the bulb to break. Learn what to do if the lamp has exploded inside the projector.

5. Remove the new Optoma BL-FU185A from its packaging. Taking care not to touch the actual bulb, lift up the handle on the new projector lamp and insert it gently into the Optoma DS322 projector.

6. Tighten the two screws on the lamp.

7. Replace the lamp cover and tighten its two screws.

Reset the Lamp Replacement Timer

The Optoma DS322 projector has an automatic lamp timer that tracks the numbers of hours left in the projector lamp. When the Optoma BL-FU185A is approaching end of life, the lamp replacement timer will trigger the warning system. If you don’t reset the lamp replacement timer you run the risk of the lamp being used beyond its recommended life and possibly exploding in the projector.

Should the lamp explode, learn what to do.

To reset the Lamp Replacement Timer:

Turn on the projector.
Using the remote press MENU
Select OPTIONS
Select LAMP SETTINGS
Select LAMP RESET
Select YES.
Press MENU to exit.

Extend the life of the Optoma BL-FU185A lamp:

Chose the “STD” mode to to dim the projector lamp and lower power consumption. This will extend the lamp life by up to 130%.

This helpful how-to-guide shows you how to replace the Viewsonic PJD6381 projector lamp.

Note: Viewsonic recommends you contact a service rep before changing the lamp.

When it’s time to replace the Viewsonic PJD6381 projector lamp you’ll notice the Power LED lamp light becomes a bright blue and Lamp LED becomes bright red. A warning message will also flash onscreen. Replace the lamp immediately and discontinue use of the old lamp. Failure to do can result in the lamp exploding and damaging your PJD6381 projector.

Installing the Viewsonic RLC-049 lamp

Before replacing the Viewsonic RLC-049 projector follow these crucial safety tips to prevent injury to yourself or the projector:

NEVER change the lamp unless the Viewsonic PJD6381 projector is cool to the touch. The PJD6381 operates under extremely high temperatures and you can burn yourself quite badly.
Switch off the power to the Viewsonic PJD6381 projector.
Disconnect the power cord.

1. Use a screwdriver to undo the screw holding the lamp cover in place. Remove the lamp cover, being careful not to lose the screws.

2. Slide the lid — slowly — off the projector. and place to one side. Don’t lose the lid because the Viewsonic PJD6381 projector will not turn back if the lamp cover hasn’t been installed properly.

3. Remove the two screws holding the Viewsonic RLC-049 lamp in place.

Note: The used Viewsonic RLC-049 lamp contains mercury and should be properly recycled. Don’t throw it into regular garbage.

4. Grab the Viewsonic RLC-049 lamp by it’s side edges and slowly lift the lamp put of the projector. Be careful not to bang the lamp against the projector as this may case the bulb to break.

Remove the new Viewsonic RLC-049 from its packaging.
Taking care not to touch the actual bulb, lift up the handle on the new lamp and insert it gently into the Viewsonic PJD6381 into projector.
Tighten the two screws on the lamp.
Replace the lamp cover and tighten its two screws. Reset the lamp timer.

Reset the Lamp Replacement Timer

The Viewsonic PJD6381 projector has an automatic lamp timer that tracks the numbers of hours left in the lamp. Each time you install a new lamp, you’ll need to to reset the lamp timer to know how many hours are left and when to change the bulb.

To reset the Lamp Replacement Timer:

Turn on the projector.
Using the remote press MENU
Scroll to the main menu
Select Settings
Scroll down to Lamp Hours
Press the arrow button to move to the right,
Select YES.
Press MENU to exit.

How to replace the Studio Experience 2HD projector lamp

This guide will help you replace the Studio Experience Matinee 2HD projector lamp.

Note: The Studio Exp. Matinee 2HD projector was also marketed as the Sanyo PLV-Z2 projector. Both used the same Studio Experience 2HD projector lamp.

End of life warnings

When the Sanyo POA-LMP69 (service parts no 610 309 7589) projector lamp is approaching end of life, the Indicator Light on the Studio Experience 2HD projector will starting blinking yellow. Replace the lamp immediately when the yellow light is blinking.

Why buy authentic?

Only a genuine Sanyo POA-LMP69 (service parts no 610 309 7589) projector lamp should be used in order to keep your projector is good working order. The authentic POA-LMP69 projector lamp has been manufactured to meet the specifications of the Studio Experience 2HD projector.

Replacement Instruction for SANYO POA-LMP69

1. Turn off the projector and unplug the AC cord. The Studio Experience 2HD projector should be cool to the touch before you replace the projector lamp. It usually takes one hour for the projector to fully cool since these projectors operate under high temperatures.

NOTE: Do not operate the projector while any of the lamps are removed as this may result in malfunctions and may be a fire hazard.

Caution: Avoid creating black spots on the projector lamp. Don’t touch the screen or the actual bulb with your finger or hands. Oil from your hands can damaged the lamp.

2. The lamp cover is found underneath the Studio Experience 2HD projector. Gently turn it upside, making sure to protect the top of the projector. Using a screwdriver loosen the screw holding the cover in place. Put the cover to one side.

3. Inside will be the lamp projector cage. Remove the two screws on either side of the Sanyo POA-LMP69 (service parts no 610 309 7589) lamp. Grab the handle on the projector lamp cage and gently pull out the projector lamp. Place to one side. You’ll need to recycle the old lamp.

4. Grab the handles of the Sanyo POA-LMP69 (service parts no 610 309 7589) lamp cage and gently maneuver it into place. Avoid touching the glass or the bulb. The projector lamp should slide in easily – don’t force it.

5. Once the projector lamp is in, tighten the screws on the Lamp Assembly.

6. Replace the Lamp Cover and tighten the screw.

7. Re-connect the power cord and turn on the Studio Experience 2HD projector. You’ll need to reset the lamp replacement counter.

Resetting the Studio Experience 2HD Lamp Replacement counter

NOTE: Reset the Lamp Replacement Counter only when the Sanyo POA-LMP69 (service parts no 610 309 7589) projector lamp has been replaced.

Turn the Studio Experience 2HD projector on.
Press the Menu option to display the On-Screen Menu.
Press the left/right button(s) to move to the Setting Menu icon.
Press the Point Down button to move to Lamp Counter Reset.
Press the Select button
When the next confirmation dialog box appears, press select.
The Lamp box will disappear and the Lamp Replace Dialog box appears.
Select YES to reset Lamp Replace Counter.

NOTE: When you reset the Lamp Replace Counter the Lamp Replace indicator stops blinking.

Extend the life of your newly installed Sanyo POA-LMP69 (service parts no 610 309 7589) by following these helpful tips:

Wait at least five minutes before turning the Studio Experience 2HD projector off.
Don’t operate the projector continuously without letting it stand for at least one hour turned off every 24 hours.

Resetting the Boxlight SP-50m lamp counter

Once the Boxlight CP635i has been replaced, you will need to reset the lamp counter so the Boxlight CP635i projector can accurately track the number of lamp hours remaining:

Switch power ON, and press the RESET button, for approximately three seconds. The ‘LAMP xxxx hr’ message will appear on the lamp timer on the bottom of the screen.
Press the MENU button on the remote control transmitter, or the RESET button on the control panel, while the lamp timer is displayed. The ‘LAMP xxxx → 0 _ CANCEL’ message will then appear.
Press the and select 0, and wait until the timer display is cleared. The message functions will not operate properly if the lamp timer is not reset correctly

Importance of authentic

Avoid using a generic projector lamp in your NEC M300XC projector. Be sure to always install an authentic NEC M300XC projector lamp. Generics have been created using toxic materials including Krypton-85 and they are prone to explosions with a shorter lamp life. Installing them often damages the sensitive electronics in your NEC M300XC projector. NOTE: New air filters are shipped with the lamp and it’s recommended you replace them at the same time.

When to replace

How will you know the the NEC NP15LP lamp projector needs to be replaced and is reaching end of life? Watch for the following signs:

the LAMP indicator will begin to blink red
message on screen reads LAMP HAS REACHED THE END OF ITS USABLE LIFE. PLEASE REPLACE THE LAMP AND FILTER.
colour looks off
picture is faint or has deteriorated

Checking end of life

Track the life of the NEC NP15LP projector lamp with the usage time menu. The progress indicator shows the percentage of remaining bulb life:

Go to INFO menu
Scroll down to USAGE TIME to display the LAMP LIFE REMAINING and LAMP HOURS USED
When the lamp usage reaches 0, the Lamp Life REMAINING starts a count down from 100 hours
When the count down reaches 0, the projector will turn off and not turn on.

Changing the NEC NP15LP lamp

Follow these important safety instructions before installing the new NEC NP15LP lamp

turn off the NEC M300XC projector.
unplug the projector from its power source.
unplug the power cable.
wait until the projector is cool to the touch to avoid getting burned.

Loosen the NEC M300XC projector lamp cover screw.

Push and slide the NEC M300XC projector cover off.

Loosen the two screws holding the NEC NP15LP projector lamp in place. (The screws will not come out only loosen.)

Remove the projector lamp by holding the indent and pulling up.

NOTE: Your NEC NP15LP lamp should be properly recycled. These lamps contain mercury and can’t be placed into common garbage.

Install a new lamp housing into the NEC M300XC projector, gently pressing the projector lamp housing into the socket. Take care not to touch the actual bulb as your finger prints can leave oil marks that burn black marks onto the bulb.

Push the top center on the projector lamp to secure it. Tighten the screw on the lamp.

Reattach the NEC M300XC lamp cover by sliding the cover until it snaps into place. Tighten the screw on the lamp cover.

Replacing the filters

There are four filters in the NEC M300XC projector:

Honeycomb hard filter – large and small
Accordion soft filter — large and small

Replace all four filters at the same time. Before replacing the filters wipe off any dust and dirt that came loose from the old filters. NOTE: The filters are made with two different types of material in the membrane. Both perform the same.

Push the catch to release the NEC M300XC filter and gently pull it out.

The filter cover is fixed at six separate points in the projector. Bow the filter cover by pushing it slightly until it releases.

Remove the dark sponge filter and clean the filter unit and cover. Attach the new non-woven white material filters.

Filter unit: Attach two honeycomb hard filters to the NEC M300XC filter unit.
Filter cover: Attach the two accordion soft filters to the filter cover. Be sure to align the accordion slits with the protrusions of the filter cover.

Attach the filter cover back to the filter unit. Align the filter until with the filter cover and push the protrusions into place. Make sure all the six mounting points are aligned properly.

Insert the two catches of the top of the filter into the groove of the cabinet. Push the filter until it clicks into place.

Reset the lamp timer

Once the NEC NP15LP projector lamp and NEC M300XC projector filter have both been replaced you will need to reset the timer for both. You want the projector to be able to accurately track the projector lamp life.

Clear usage hours and reset hours

Plug in the power cored into the wall outlet.
Turn on the projector.
From the MENU select RESET.
Choose CLEAR LAMP HOURS.
A confirmation message appears.
Select YES.

Reset the filter hours:

Scroll up to CLEAR Filter HOURS.
A second submenu will appear.
Select YES. Press the ENTER button.

Extending the life of the NEC NP15LP projector lamp

Get your newly installed NEC NP15LP lamp will last longer by choosing the ECO option. The ECO MODE increases projector lamp life by lowering the power consumption. There are three modes to choose from:

Auto Mode: 4000 hours
Normal: 5000 hours
Eco ModeL 8000 hours

Replacing the Vivitek H1085 projector lamp

End of life

Knowing when your Vivitek H1085 projector lamp is reaching end of life is important so you can be prepared with a new lamp waiting. If you notice the Power LED light flashing five times in a row or if the onscreen picture is faded or distorted check your lamp hours. To check:

Press the Menu button to open the on screen menu.
Press left/right arrow keys to move button to move to the STATUS Menu.
The LAMP HOUR field displays the number of hours the lamp has been in use.
You can expect 2000 hours lamp life. 3000 hours if Eco Mode has been turned on.

Buy the right lamp!

Your Vivitek H1085 projector uses the Vivitek 5811116206-S projector lamp. Be sure the purchase an authentic projector lamp and avoid the temptation of a the generic lamps with their seemingly great bargain prices. There are several problems associated with generics that you want to avoid:

shorter lamp life
prone to explosions.
manufactured with toxic and dangerous substitutes
can’t be properly calibrated.
voids your projector warranty if you install a generic.

Save yourself hassle and go an authentic Vivitek 5811116206-S lamp.

Replace the 5811116206-S projector lamp

Before changing the Vivitek 5811116206-S lamp:

Disconnecting the power cord on the Vivitek H1085 projector.
Reduce the risk of severe burns by allowing the projector to cool for at least 45 minutes.

Turn the projector around to locate the lamp cover screw. Remove the captive screw holding the lamp cover place.

Gently slide off the lamp cover and place it to one side. You will need to re-install the cover before turning on the Vivitek H1085 projector again.

Remove the three screws holding the Vivitek 5811116206-S projector lamp in place.

Using the wire handle, gently pull out the Vivitek 5811116206-S projector lamp. Pulling too quickly can cause the bulb to shatter. Learn how to clean up a broken lamp.

NOTE: The 5811116206-S projector lamp contains mercury and should not be thrown into regular garbage. Recycle your used lamps!

Lift up the wire handle on the new Vivitek 5811116206-S projector lamp and gently guide it into the H1085projector.
Take care not to touch the actual bulb as the oil from your fingers will smudges that will burn into a black spots when the projector heats up.
Tighten the projector lamp screw.
Re-install the H1082 lamp cover and tighten the screw.
Reset the total lamp hour timer.

Resetting the Lamp Hour Timer

It’s important to only reset the projector lamp timer when the Vivitek 5811116206-S lamp has been replaced. Resetting the projector lamp timer without changing the lamp can make it work beyond its recommended hours and cause harm to your Vivitek H1085 projector.

Press the Menu button to open the OSD menu.
Press left/right arrow keys to move to the Setup menu.
Press up/down arrows to move to the Advanced menu
Press Enter.
Press the cursor up/down arrows button to Lamp Hour Reset.
Press Enter.
A message will appear saying the Lamp Hour has been reset to zero.
Press the Menu button to return to the main Setup menu.

Extending the life of the Vivitek 5811116206-S lamp:

Keep your air filters clean to avoid overheating the projector.
Use the Lamp Power option on the Vivitek H1085 projector and set to Eco Mode to reduce the amount of power used but extend lamp life.
