This chronic problem of a faulty T-Con board is hitting most of the major LED TV manufacturers. With the introduction of the Sharp RUNTK5261TPZG as the new universal T-Con board that be in installed in most LED TVs, repairs just got a bit easier.

The T-Con board (Timing Control Board) controls pixels displayed on screen by connecting to the digital processor on the main board. When it’s defective the result is a screen that is simply unwatchable. The picture may be only partially displayed, have bad colour, be dotted with scrambled pixels, have distracting vertical lines or simply go completely black.

The solution, of course, is to replace the T-Con board. Since the defective T-Con problem is affecting almost all models and makes, each company was using a particular model.
