RCA HD50LPW165 - Black and White only?

Hello,
We purchased a used RCA tv and when we bought it home and hooked it up, there's no color. Do you know what would need to be done to fixed this? It didn't come with the remote but i've played with all the options on the menu of the tv and nothing has helped.

Hello,
I would first reset the settings to factory or default.. if the color settings are normal and it is still black and white I would try the colorwheel first, it can be shattered, old, or unplugged! specially if it has been moved around lately... :cry:

Is that something I can do myself? Do you know how I would get to the colorwheel on this particular tv?

Hi and yes, there's nothing to cut or solder, just a bunch of screws and plugs!
Unfortunately I am a Samsung and Sony tech... but these are pretty much the same inside, take a look at the guide below...
